Instagram Update

Here are a few recent pictures from instagram. I've been using my phone even more since I broke my lens, although I suppose I should become reacquainted with my kit lens UGH. Ok, enough complaining about my lens hahah.

Peppermint hot cocoa and my new favorite dinner. If you haven't tried the French's Crunch Time seasonings yet I totally recommend them. They're awesome on pork and chicken!

An outfit I put together randomly and ended up loving and a pair of shoes I've had since high school! My middle schoolers used to think I was so badass when I wore them hahaha

Bruce on the new dog bed I just bought for the boys and homemade wonton soup that I made from scratch! I love making wontons and dumplings.

My two copycat recipes that I made tonight. Panera Bread's broccoli and cheese soup and Red Lobster's cheddar bay biscuits! Both were so good!!

I can't believe it's almost Christmas!! I'm going to share some Elf on the Shelf stories soon. I've been using one with my 2nd graders and they LOVE him! I'm going to go back to my Christmas movie marathon now. So far I've watched Christmas Vacation, Love Actually, Home Alone 1 & 2, and All I Want for Christmas. Currently I'm watching Elf and then I still have The Santa Clause, Miracle on 34th Street, A Christmas Story (which I'll only watch on Christmas Day), Surviving Christmas, and Prancer. I love Christmas movie marathons!!

Bruce and Marty's Christmas Wishlist

I made a wishlist for myself so it's only right that I make one for my dogs isn't it? This will be Bruce's first Christmas, but Marty loves ripping open his presents. I think he enjoys that more than the actual gifts! But anyway, here are some things I'd like to think my boys would want for Christmas. I don't have kids yet so don't judge me ;) hahahah!

Organic Christmas Gourmet Dog Treats - No Wheat. No Corn. No Soy. (via GotTreats on etsy)

Leather Dog Collars with Personalized Nameplates (via LaserPets on etsy)

Super Tug - Strong Dog Toy (via SquishyFaceStuido on etsy)

Elevated Dog Bowl - Feeding Station (via theknottyhound on etsy)

Toy wagon dog toy box (via KMGstore on etsy)

Ok so some of these are more like presents for me, but I like my babies to look cute! What do you want to buy for your babies, of all animal types, for Christmas?

Last Christmas I Gave You My Heart

The same day I took our 2013 family Christmas picture I broke my favorite lens. It was my Canon EF 50mm 1.4. I am so bummed it's not even funny. I basically tripped while walking in shoes I don't normally wear and my camera went flying and landed right on my lens :( I looked into sending it to Canon but it's going to cost AT LEAST $130 sigh, I guess it will be waiting till after Christmas to be fixed. I had to take pictures of our decorations with my kit lens and one of my Sigma lenses. Definitely not as fun. Especially the picture of our beautiful house that my husband decorated while I was sleeping like the perfect guy he is. I shouldn't be a whiny brat though. I have much to be thankful for this Christmas season and it could be much worse. What is cheering me up is listening to my FAVORITE Christmas song, "Last Christmas". My favorite versions are of course Wham!, Darren Hayes, and Jimmy Eat World. I'm enjoying it right now as I write up this post. In fact I'll share it so you can listen while you look at pictures :)

Like I said, Steven did that while I was sleeping. I was a little bummed about my lens and that I was having trouble finding a way to do the lights with the way our outside outlet is situated. He pretended like he didn't want to put up likes (ok he wasn't really pretending) but he went to the store and got everything we'd need while I was sleeping and set it all up. Isn't he the best? Like I said, I have much to be thankful for and hopefully after the holidays my baby will be fixed.

Goodbye November

Yesterday I had a photoshoot on the beach. It was one of the coldest days of the year so far and it made the beach wonderful. The shoot went great but I got there a little early to take some beach pictures. You'd think that living in Florida I'm there all the time, WRONG. But when it's this beautiful outside I can't help myself.
Sorry there are so many, but it was just too beautiful outside. I have to remember to head down there more often when the weather is this good.

Hail to the King, Baby

Some of you may remember from my old blog that I'm in love with Bruce Campbell. This has been a love going on since 1993, when I was just 9 years old. It all started with Brisco County Jr. I thought he was the coolest person alive because he was a cowboy and had a cool horse that he could communicate with. I know, I was easy to please. Fast forward to my 20's when I discovered Evil Dead and found out that Bruce had a career before Brisco! I was late to the Evil Dead party, but I caught up pretty quickly. When Steven and I first started dating he took me to my first convention in Miami. Guess who was there doing signings and a panel?? BRUCE. Sadly I didn't meet him, but Steven did and I took pictures. I would have been way to shy to say anything to him anyway.

Here are some photos of Bruce being impressed by Steven's cosplay of Ash

We also got to see his panel which was of course completely hilarious

But back to my story, I've wanted a Bruce Campbell related tattoo for awhile. I figured it was easiest to go with Evil Dead/Army of Darkness because it has so many amazing references:

Back in September I even dressed up as Ash for a cosplay convention:

This is all just a really long segue to say LOOK AT MY AWESOME NEW TATTOO:

Also, the chainsaw isn't crooked, I just apparently can't stand straight.

And I mean, not to brag or anything but it's so awesome that Bruce Campbell retweeted it:

We're basically besties now. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I had a wonderful meal with the family and then my husband took me to the theater my boyfriend James Franco's new movie Homefront. That was a run-on sentence, oh well.

Hope Rides Alone

I have been taking pictures of the Protomen for five years you guys. FIVE. I currently have 15 different sets of them on Flickr, and that's just the sets I've felt like editing. I've seen them in concert over 20 times now, all because of Steven of course, but still. What I'm trying to get at is, as much as I love them, I get sick of taking pictures of them. Not their fault of course, I just get bored with my pictures. I feel like it's the same thing over and over. Last year was a little different since they did their Queen set, but that's rare. So this year, I tried something different. I stepped outside of my comfort zone. I changed my aperture from 1.4 (I usually leave it on there for concerts since it's so dark) and actually played with the light. Instead of getting beautiful bright photos like I usually do, I got muted silhouette style pictures THAT I LOVE. Then, to make them even prettier, I edited them all with Sara Lynn Paige's Reminisce actions. These might be my new favorite pictures, I hope you like them as much as me!
